DANNY JOHNSON WINS ON FATHER’S DAY AT CAYUGA COUNTY FAIR SPEEDWAY; 2010 GRADUATES FREE NEXT WEEK

WEEDSPORT, NY-Sunday night was a Father's Day like no other at Cayuga County Fair Speedway. Race fans enjoyed a topless treat as topless DIRTcar Modifieds and Sportsman took to the track, along with Stock cars and Battlekarz plus the 600 micro sprints. This was the first time the track ran a topless feature. Cayuga County Fair Speedway General Manager Cory Reed introduced this new concept of topless racing to the DIRTcar Modified's and Sportsman to offer fans and drivers some added excitement to the 35-lap feature.

Fans that arrived to the track early were given the chance to meet two of their favorite drivers as Stock Car driver Andy Fisk and Modified driver Pete Britten were on hand to sign autographs. This was the first week this added bonus was present in the night's activities. Track management hope to make this a reoccurring event every week. Next week's autograph session will take place from 5:30 to 6:00pm featuring Robby Bellinger and Frank Burnell.

The topless feature for the DIRTcar big block Modifieds paved the way for on track excitement Sunday night as Danny Johnson won at the Cayuga County Fair Speedway for the second time in 2010. While Johnson was leading the 35 lap feature event, the real battle of the night was for second place as Alan Johnson held off a very determined Matt Sheppard at the finish line. Fourth went to early leader Chad Homan while Dale Planck was fifth.

Jim Spano was the winner of the 25 lap DIRTcar Sportsman feature. Justin Wright took home second while Greg Mrzywka finished third. Rounding out the top five was Tom Juhl and Jeremy Pitcher.

Sprint Car star Chuck Hebing was the winner of the 25 lap Original Pizza Logs 600cc Micro Sprint main event. Steve Doell was second followed by Darryl Ruggles, Charlie Donk and Tyler Walker.

In the 20 lap DIRTcar Stock Car feature, Chris Fisher was the winner. Frank Burnell was second followed by Andy Fisk. Mike Welch finished fourth and Dan Searles was fifth. The 15 lap BattleKarz race was won by Lanson Albansese. Nick Werner was second followed by Skip DeGroff.  Tim Dunn was fourth and James Werner was fifth.
