WEEDSPORT, NY – April 17, 2011(By Dave Medler) – A storm system that hammered the east coast made its way through the area with heavy wind and rain on Saturday and Sunday forcing promoter Eric Kingsley to postpone the 2011 season opener till Sunday May1st.

On the race card on Butch’s Automotive Night the Pizza Logs Big Block Modifieds will still be 40 laps plus, Pit Stop Convenience Stores Sportsman, Stock Cars, BattleKarz, Mid-State Stock Car Club and round-one of the Enduro Series.

The Pizza Logs Big Block Modified field will be one of the best anywhere, led by Defending Track Champion Matt Sheppard along with Jimmy Phelps, Danny Johnson, Billy Decker, Larry Wight, Ryan Phelps, Billy Dunn, Tom Sears Jr., Australian Pete Britten, Mike Mahaney, Derrick Podsiadlo and others making Sundays the place to be for your racing action.

One of the first things you will notice when you enter the speedway is the inside Jersey barrier has been removed exiting turn-four.
