Weedsport, NY – October 3, 2009 – By Tom Skibinski, DIRTcar Racing Northeast PR Director

As part of the Super DIRT Week XXXVIII satellite schedule, Rolling Wheels Raceway Park is offering a fall doubleheader unlike any other. The ‘Fast Track’ will hold two consecutive nights of racing Friday and Saturday, October 9-10 with some of the hottest open wheel action found anywhere on the east coast featuring Modifieds and Sprints.

Friday night will be highlighted by the Mr. DIRTcar 358-Modified Series as teams compete in a 100-lap Championship event. Joining the 358’s at Rolling Wheels on October 9 will be the Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman Series. After time trials, four-qualifying heats and two-consolations set the starting field on Sept. 26, rain set in postponing the final until Friday night of Super DIRT Week to produce a big doubleheader featuring a pair of 30-lap Sportsman main events. Tickets are priced at $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, $8 for kids 10-14, and children 9 and under are FREE. Race time is 7:30 p.m.

For the 22nd consecutive year Rolling Wheels takes center stage as the nationally renowned World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series makes its annual visit to Central New York. The 31st invasion of the 5/8-miler in Elbridge will be even more special as the upcoming appearance of the 'Greatest Show On Dirt' is once again scheduled in conjunction with Super DIRT Week at the New York State Fairgrounds. Completing the Twin 25s program will be the popular "Win and You're In" Big-Block Modified event with the winner earning the 45th starting spot in the SDW Rite Aid 200 Presented By Ferris & Snapper Mowers in Syracuse on Oct. 11.

Amidst the Outlaws' own 32nd season of competition around the nation, Rolling Wheels will host the winged machines Saturday, October 10 with the headline ‘New Yorker 25’ paying $10,000 to win. In preparation for the SRO crowd, Rolling Wheels management has made the top-five rows available for reserved seating with prime spots available for $35. On race day adult general admission tickets are $33; senior’s (65+) are $31, Students (10-14 yrs.) are $12 and children (9 and under) are free. Race time is 7 p.m.

The inaugural “Wings & Warriors Tour” in New York kicked off at Canandaigua Speedway with Donny Schatz capturing the WoO Sprint Car A-Main on Memorial Day and former track Big-Block Modified regular Tim McCreadie scoring a popular World of Outlaws Late Model Series win in June. The superstars of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and their jet-like race cars return to the Empire State during the 38th Annual Super DIRT Week festivities at Rolling Wheels, marking the first trip to Elbridge in autumn since 1995 when Stevie Smith Jr. copped the A-Main.
