NEXT PRACTICE SET FOR WEDNESDAY, MAY 12TH AT ROLLING WHEELS RACEWAY

WEEDSPORT, NY_ The next practice session for Rolling Wheels Raceway is scheduled for Wednesday, May 12th.

Rolling Wheels Raceway General Manager Cory Reed has scheduled practice sessions for the "fast track" every two weeks during the 2010 regular season. The opportunity gives competitors a chance to sort out any problems they might've had during that past weekend. Rolling Wheels Raceway is a favorite among local racers and certainly the fastest of the DIRTcar Northeast based facilities in Central New York.

This past Wednesday, Rolling Wheels Raceway had it's first practice session and with some extremely quick results.

Central New York 360 Sprint Car star Chuck Hebing was fastest on the five-eights mile oval with a 18.690 sec/120.038mph lap. Brandon Warner , also a 360 Sprint Car racer, was also in the 18 second range.

In the big block Modifieds, Australian Pete Britten was fastest with a 21.007 second lap speed. Brad Godshalk was a little slower, but still fast with a 21.370 second lap speed.

Rob Humphreys had a 22.774 lap speed. In the Stock car division, it was Mike Rasbeck with a 25.350 lap speed.

Practice on Wednesday, May 12th will begin at 5pm sharp and last until dusk. Any race division can participate in the practice session as long as the race car meets safety standards

Don't forget this Sunday night. Rolling Wheels Raceway will open it's 2010 schedule with the DIRTcar Challenge Cup. The DIRTcar Modifieds will run a 60 lap feature paying $4000 to win. The DIRTcar Sportsman and the DIRTcar Stock Cars will join the Modifieds on the night's schedule. Race time will begin at 5pm. Pit gates will open at 2pm while Grandstands will open at 3pm.

Adult admission is $18. Senior Citizens $16. Students 10-18 and Active Military $8 and of course, Children 9 and under are always free. The family four pack is $50 and that includes two adults and two students or children. Each family member will receive a hamburger or hot dog and a soft drink. Families who buy the four pack will also be placed in a special drawing with the winner to be placed in the Rolling Wheels Raceway VIP Towers and treated like royalty.
