FRANKLIN, PA. As the racing season in Western PA has just begun, Tri-city will be having their first test and tune secession this Saturday April 16th from 11-3. All divisions are invited to come out and shake out the cobwebs before opening night of points on April 29th.

"Many drivers and crews have expressed much interest in having a test and tune over the off season" stated new promoter Tim Engles. "I know I gained a lot of information during the practice secessions last year that helped me out last year. I got to try some different things that I would not have had the chance to on race night and some of the findings actually worked!"

Gates will open at 10:00 on Saturday with cars hitting the track at 11 a.m. Pit passes are just $15 with FREE Grandstand general admission for the day. The track AMB transponder system will be up and running for those that would like to see their times during the day. Registration forms will be available for drivers to fill out, so they can beat the big rush on April 29. Pitt parking spots are also on sale by calling the track office at (814)673-2878 or the track at (814) 676-1681.

Tri-City Speedway is owned and operated by H&H Motorsports, which has promoted racing at the popular facility since in 2009. In 2011, Tri-City will host Friday Night Lightning featuring the 4 Your Car Connection Super Late Models, Weld Tech/ Shaw Industries FASTRAK Late Models, M&D Paving E- Mods, TEMPSTAR Northwestern Heating Sales and Service Open Pro Stocks and R.K.Virgile Thunder Cars at the Venango County half-mile dirt oval. Tri-City is located seven miles north of Franklin, Pa., off State Route 417.
