Due to drenching rains and a second band of heavy precipitation predicted for this afternoon, Snydersville Raceway has cancelled tonight’s scheduled racing program. The rain event is forecasted to continue until after midnight. By canceling early Snydersville Raceway hopes to give it’s racers and fans more time to reschedule their evening plans.

Racing will continue next Friday with a regular show featuring the Briggs Animal Jr 25 lap feature event. The first big event of the season is coming on Friday May 30th and 31st as Snydersville Raceway and Hamlin Speedway work together for a big weekend featuring the Briggs Stock Light Division.

Friday May30th will be the resurrection of the “Dick Haring Memorial Race” at Snydersville. The event will feature some of the best Briggs Stock Light Drivers on the east coast. The winner of the Haring Memorial 25 lap event will take home a cool $380.00 for the win. Haring’s daughter Ellen, a former racer herself, will be present to present the unique trophy to the winner. This event is being sponsored both days by DMI Manufacturing Inc. of Stroudsburg, Pa.

The very next day The Hamlin Speedway presents their “Briggs Stock Light Challenge” a $500.00 to win event.
