Snydersville Raceway Results May 2

This Past Friday Snydersville Raceway would have one the most famous tracks on the NASCAR circuit make a stop at Snydersville Raceway. Snydersville welcomed Pocono International Speedway with Tammy Gower, Representative of Pocono Intl. Raceway, would bring the famous Go Bowling Chevy Camaro Pace Car and 500 tickets to the ARCA race on Saturday, June 7. We had a great time with Pocono Raceway as they got to see a go kart track in action on a Friday Night. Not only did the Tricky Triangle bring the Pace Car for looks but had it Pace, with lights flashing, the Sr. Clone Feature event as a little surprise for the drivers. We were glad to have Pocono Raceway, and Tammy Gower make a stop at Snydersville Raceway as the first of 2 stops at Snydersville. Pocono Raceway will be back on May 30 with the Pace Car and Tricky the Fox and more chances to win tickets to Pocono Raceway! Thanks Pocono Intl. 68 Cars would pack the pits on Friday as a jammed packed show would occur not only with a complete regular show plus 7 makeup Features from April 25. Also a $250 to win Briggs Medium Money Race would happen on Friday to add excitement!
The Makeup Features would immediately be run first and Briggs Light would start us out. Green would come out for the class and Taylor Santee and Hunter Metzger would take off. A yellow would come out sending Metzger to the rear. The race would resume and put Geordan Farry in the runner up spot behind Santee. Another Yellow would come out on lap 6 and Farry would end up being the cause of the caution. Green would come back out and Taylor Santee would lead the rest of the way to take the win, Greg Frace would finish 2nd, 3rd was Geordan Farry, 4th was Hunter Metzger and DNS- Tyler Evans.
Rick Shive would take the win for Briggs Stock Medium.
The AllStar Slingshots would go wire to wire with no cautions and Kyle Herve would take his first win of 2014, Greg Zellman would finish 2nd and John Drake would finish 3rd.
10 Sr. Clone Cars would go at it for a 15 lap main event. Eric Freeman would lead them off as the green flag waved but a yellow would immediately come out to slow the field. Green would come back out and Freeman would go back in the lead with Jason Fisch following in 2nd and Greg Frace 3rd. Stacy Santee would move up through the pack and then pass Frace for 3rd. Soon John LaRue would be on Santee’s tail for a top 3 but the laps would run out and Eric Freeman would go back to back wins with Jason Fisch finishing in 2nd, 3rd was Stacy Santee, 4th was John LaRue, 5th was Greg Frace, 6th- Eddie Geiger, 7th- Emily Oswald, 8th- Marty Boucher, 9th- Bob Wilson, and DNS- John Novak.
Microstock Animal 206 would have 5 cars go at it for some fun in the dirt. Jim Ackerman would take off into the lead and Ron Counterman would follow in 2nd but Ted Harris would be moving into the runner up spot on the hunt for the win. Ted Harris would try many moves to get around Ackerman but wouldn’t succeed and Jim Ackerman would take the win with Ted Harris taking 2nd, 3rd was Ronald Counter, “The Mayor” Ron Farber would finish 4th, and making a return to Snydersville and finishing 5th was Walter Morrison.
2 Jr. Slingshots would put a heck of race as both are new to the slingshots. Cody Motto would take the win with Gavin Santee finishing 2nd.
Last Makeup Feature was Controlled Stock Champ. Bob Wilson would lead wire to wire and take home the win with Buddy Lord finishing 2nd, 3rd was Troy Snyder and Lew Everett would finish 4th.
After all the heats we would move into the features for May 2. Kid Karts would have 2 karts but put on a great race. Katie Verwys would take the win with J.T. Dembecki finishing in 2nd.
13 Sr. Clones would put on a heck of a race with lots of passing and great racing. Father and Son would start on the front row, Billy LaRue and John LaRue. Green Flag would wave and Billy LaRue would take off into the lead with Jason Fisch following LaRue into 2nd. Eric Freeman would then make a move on John LaRue for 3rd and Freeman would succeed with the pass on lap 4. Freeman would then be on the hunt for the runner up spot and pass Jason Fisch for 2nd on Lap 7. A yellow would come out on lap 8. Green would come back out and Billy LaRue would go into defense mode as Freeman was on his tail. Billy LaRue would lead the rest of the race to take the Sr. Clone win, Eric Freeman would finish 2nd, John LaRue would finish out in the top 3, finishing 4th was Crazy Eddie Geiger, 5th was Emily Oswald, 6th- Stacy Santee, 7th- Bob Wilson, 8th- Greg Frace, 9th- Scott Goldt, 10th- Jonny Peters, 11th- Jessica Sigley, 12th- Jason Fisch, DNS- Marty Boucher.
Jr. Champ 1 would come out with 5 kids ready to have some fun and race. Green would come out and Shelby McLaughlin would take off into the lead with Alex Kolonics in 2nd. A Yellow would come out on lap 2 ending Cory Hunsberger’s night. Green would come back out with McLaughlin taking back off into the lead and Kolonics following in 2nd. Aidan Boucher would then swap positions putting Alex Kolonics in 3rd. Shelby McLaughlin would lead wire to wire to take the win with Aidan Boucher finishing 2nd, 3rd was Alex Kolonics, 4th was Kevin Wieand Jr. and 5th was Cory Hunsberger.
Next was Jr. Sportsman with 8 cars ready to go at it. Gavin Santee would take off into the lead with Sean Verwys and Jesse Strohl following. Soon Jayce Brown would enter into the top 3 and Cadence Freeman would follow. A yellow would wave on lap 5 when Tyler Longacre would be turned into the wall ending his night. Green would come out and Jayce Brown would move into the runner up spot sending Verwys to 3rd. Then a yellow would come out again on lap 6 sending Verwys to the rear and moving Freeman to 3rd. Green would come back out and Jesse Strohl would move into 3rd on lap 8 sending Cadence Freeman back. Gavin Santee would lead the entire race to take the win with Jayce Brown finishing 2nd, 3rd was Sean Verwys, Zachary Evans would finish 4th, 5th- Dylan Labar, 6th- Cadence Freeman, 7th- Jesse Strohl, and 8th- Tyler Longacre.
Briggs Stock Heavy would come out with 4 competitive cars. Green would wave and Dan Miller would take off into the lead with John Wolfe in 2nd. Dan Miller would lead the entire race to take the win with John Wolfe finishing in 2nd, 3rd was Kevin Wieand Sr. and Derek Potter would finish 4th.
4 AllStar Slingshots would take to the tight 1/8 mile oval. Kyle Herve would lead the entire race to take the win with “The Midget” Chris Kurtz finishing in 2nd, Greg Zellman would finish 3rd and John Drake would round out in 4th.
Cory Longacre would take the win for Rookie Jr. Sportsman, 2nd was Jacob Goldt, and Blaze Croop would finish 3rd.
Joseph Pacovich would take the win for Briggs Stock Medium with Jason Wolfe finishing 2nd, 3rd was Jack Butler and Rick Shive would finish in 4th.
The Controlled Stock Champ and Sr. Champ would put on a good race with plenty of passing. Lew Everett would take the win for Controlled Stock Champ, Buddy Lord would finish 2nd, 3rd was Troy Snyder, Steve Longacre would round out in 4th and Bob Wilson finishing 5th. Winner of Sr. Champ was Brittany Hunsberger.
Open Modified Karts would show how fast you go around the track. Joe Demott would lead most of the race but have issues giving Billy LaRue the lead and he would take the win with Joe Demott finishing 2nd.
7 Briggs Light would put on a heck of a race with lots of passing. Taylor Santee would take off into the lead after an immediate caution on the first start. 1 lap would get in and then another caution would slow the field. Green would come back out and Santee would take back off into the lead with Hunter Metzger following in 2nd. Then Hunter Metzger would take over the lead from Santee bringing Geordan Farry in 2nd. Scott Neary would then move into 3rd putting Santee in 4th. A Side by Side finish would happen and Hunter Metzger would take the win with Geordan Farry finishing 2nd, Scott Neary would take a top 3, Taylor Santee would finish 4th, 5th- Shawn Truhe, 6th- Greg Frace, and DNS- Brittany Hunsberger.
The Microstock Animal 206 would put on neat race and change the point’s standings. Green Flag would wave and Jim Ackerman would take off into the lead but a yellow would come out cause of a muffler and ending Roy Morris’s night. Green would come back out and Jim Ackerman would take back off into the lead with Ted Harris on his tail. Jim Ackerman would hold off Ted Harris and take the win and he would take over #1 in the points, Ted Harris would finish in 2nd, 3rd was Matt Ackerman, Ron Counterman would finish in 4th, Ron Farber would finish 5th, and DQ- Roy Morris.
Jr. Slingshots would race another round against each other. Gavin Santee would have the early lead but Cody Motto would make a slick move and take over the lead. Motto would go 2 for 2 and take the feature win and Gavin Santee would finish in 2nd.
The Last Race of the night was the Briggs Medium Money Race with 6 cars. Joseph Pacovich would take the win and $250, Dan Miller would finish 2nd, 3rd was Jason Wolfe, 4th was Kyle Kania, Rounding out the top 5 was Jack Butler, and Flip Voorhees would finish 6th.
It was great night of racing at The Ville with plenty of
