Montgomery, New York teenager Bobby "The Flash" Flood, after another successful season of competition in the Slingshot ranks, will make the transition in 2016 and move up to the Crate Sportsman divisions at both the Accord and Orange County Fair Speedways in New York state. Flood, an eighth grader, is hopeful for a great start out of the blocks to gain as much knowledge as possible as he steps up the racing ladder in his racing future.

After selling off all of their Slingshot equipment recently, Flood racing had been in negotiations with a couple of teams to purchase the needed racing equipment for the new season ahead and just put a deal together to purchase a 2012 Teo Chassied race car from Skyline racer Brian Payne. They also plan on buying a Crate motors from Hendricks in the near future.

In his history with Slingshot racing, Bobby has earned 23 wins and has garnered in 2 track titles, both coming at the Accord Speedway, the most recent in 2014. Having never raced prior to his stint in the Slingshots, the education Bobby learned in both the Junior and All Star Slingshot division should be of major assistance to him in his transition to the bigger and faster division.

The Flood Family will once again own the racer they go to battle with and Bob Flood Sr will handle the crew chief chores. Sponsorship for the new car will transition from the Slingshot racer and be headed up by Royal Property Management, Quickway Taxi Sevice, 1912 House Bed and Breakfast and B&B Property Rentals. The team is activley seeking new marketing opportunities with some potential sponsors they hope to name shortly.

Slingshot racing continues to produce great young driving talent to help fuel the larger divisions in the Tri-State area and the future of racing is in great hands with loyal racing families continuing to support the efforts of their sons and daughters. "The Flash" Bobby Flood is seeking to make his mark in the racing wars and with his family's support, he is off a great start.
