Announces Updates to the 2012 Season Schedule
Addition of Monster Truck Mania, Five supporting races at the ARCA Racing Series and Four Rally America Rallycross dates
MILLVILLE, N.J. - January 30, 2012 - New Jersey Motorsports Park's (NJMP) 2012 Racing Season has expanded with the addition of Monster Truck Mania on August 11th, five supporting races at the ARCA Racing Series, F2000, F1600, Atlantic Series, Trans Am and Vintage Trans Am, which will take place over the June 30 - July 1 weekend and four Rally America Rallycross dates slated for May 19, July 21, October 20 and November 17.
"We are very excited to announce these additions to our 2012 season," stated Brad Scott, General Manager, NJMP. "Rallycross has been a huge fan favorite since NJMP first had Rally American here in 2010. Monster Truck Mania will be a spectator event that the whole family can enjoy and bringing the supporting races to the ARCA Series is a huge bonus for race fans everywhere," added Scott.
The 2012 season is highlighted by the return of two major spectator events that have become staples on NJMP's annual calendar - the GRAND-AM Road Racing, featuring the Rolex Sports Car Series and the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, on May 11 - 13, as well as the AMA Pro Road Racing, including the SuperBike, SportBike, SuperSport and XR1200 classes, on Sept. 7 - 9.
Two highly-popular, yet very quirky series featuring $500 race cars, costumes and outrageous rules, will come to NJMP in 2012 with the return of the 24 Hours of LeMons on April 14 - 15 and the Chump Car World Series inaugural visit on June 2 - 3.
The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) will again race into the night with the return of "The Devil in the Dark, " a 12-hour endurance race on April 28. The SCCA, including both national and regional events, will also race at NJMP on June 1 - 3, June 29 - July 1, Aug. 17 - 19 and Oct. 20 - 21. Additional Club Race events include NASA Northeast on May 25 - 27, Eastern Motor Racing Association on July 28-29, and Porsche Club of America on August 24-26.
The North American Road Racing Association (NARRA), a combination performance driving school and racing league, first visited NJMP in 2011 and has scheduled event dates on June 8 - 10. In addition, race cars of yesteryear will be celebrated during the Vintage Racer Group (VRG) Event on Sept. 22-23.
The Championship Cup Series (CCS) NJMP SportBike Championship will compete in a race series championship and will include a mix of races on Thunderbolt Raceway on May 5 - 6, July 14 - 15 and September 1 - 2.
Confirmed competition karting events include the Northeast Rmax Championship May 18 - 20 and Oct. 26 - 28, the 4-Hour "Arrive And Drive" Enduro on May 26, July 28, and Nov. 17, the New Jersey Sprint Series June 1 - 3 and Oct. 5 - 7 and the WKA Gold Cup Series Sep. 21 - 23.

Season tickets are also now on sale at a special early buy rate of $99 (prior to January 31) - a savings of $50 over the regular price of $149.
