SARVER, PA (May 21, 2010) The BRP Modifieds will drop the green flag on their 2010 Tour at Lernerville Speedway this Friday Night May 21.  A complete Fab Four Racing program will also be contested with Budweiser Points on the line for all four divisions.

The Modified Tour Inc. racing series is a non-profit organization established to give the V-8 Modifieds in the Western Pennsylvania area a chance to compete with one another for a higher purse structure and for a point fund for the races that are run. Started in 1998 by Tim Engles, Lon and Pam Baker and Randy Myers the Modified Tour has had great success at bringing the local cars together at the area racetracks.

Defending Series Champion Rex King Sr. always runs well at the Action Track, but has not been to Sheetz Victory Lane recently.  All Time BRP Wins leader and current Lernerville/Budweiser Points Leader Kevin Bolland enters the event as a heavy favorite, as he won the most recent BRP Mod Tour race at the speedway last season.

Tomorrow night’s 30-lap BRP Modified feature will automatically enter the winner into an Exemption for the Dash during All Star Weekend at Cayuga County Fairgrounds Speedway.  All Star Weekend is a two-day Big Block Blowout scheduled for Friday-Saturday July 16-17.

As mentioned above, Kevin Bolland leads the Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Modified in Budweiser Points.  Brian Swartzlander trails Bolland by just one point entering this weekend’s BRP Mod Tour event.  Swartzlander is also a heavy favorite anytime he rolls his #83 mount onto the Action Track.

After last week’s scintillating Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Modified feature between eventual winner Jim Weller Jr. and Del Rougeux Jr., neither can be counted out when discussing odds on favorites to win the 30-lapper tonight.  Defending Track Champion Jeremiah Shingledecker will be looking to break out of his early run of bad luck at the Action Track.  He has two feature wins at Tri-City, but can seem to get on track Friday Nights.

Other Budweiser Points leaders are Rod George in the Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprints, Dave Hess Jr. in the DIRTcar Late Models and Joe Kelley in the Charapp Route 28 DIRTcar Sportsman.  While the Diehl Mods is the closest points battle to date, there are no runaway leaders yet, as Ed Lynch Jr. trails George by just two points, Jared Miley trails Hess by 16 (but Hess is not expected to remain on the full schedule of Fab Four Racing events),  and Jason Fosnaught trails Kelley by just seven markers.

Former Sprint car driver and current purveyor of the Player’s Club Pizza stand Chad Hill is promoting another concert this summer.  Last summer, Hill promoted a very successful Bret Michaels concert at the Belmont Complex in his hometown of Kittanning, PA.  This summer, Hill is promoting a concert featuring Grammy Award winning country artists Lonestar at the same venue on Saturday June 19.  Lonestar is embarking on a comeback tour after a few years away from the top of the charts.  Tickets are on sale for just $25 at www.ShowClix.com, but for each the next five weeks, two pair of tickets will be given away at Lernerville Speedway.

Weather does not appear to be an issue this evening, so bring the family out for the best entertainment value money can buy!  Don’t forget that children 10 & under are always FREE!!

And finally, don’t forget to buy your tickets for the 4th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com and the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XIX Twin 30s.  Both event tickets are on sale now at www.Lernerville.com by clicking the “Buy Tickets Now!” icon and will be available for purchase tonight at the Lernerville Speedway souvenir trailer.
