WOODHULL RACEWAY RE-ADJUSTS SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR SEPT. 7
10 Big Feature events on the card.  Final points still to be determined in 3 classes

(Woodhull, NY)  Due to three of six feature events being washed out on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Woodhull Raceway coupled with the fact that two of the three classes have Track Championships yet to be determined, the management team of the Woodhull Raceway has released a revised schedule for the September 7, 2013 Lyle Sherwood Memorial Night.

The originally scheduled Lyle Sherwood Memorial Big Block/Small Block Open event along with the BRP Can Am 360 Late Model Series, Open Street, Open Mini and Open Front Wheel Drive Classes along with the Crate Sportsman will still all be a part of the show.  With the August 31 partial rainout the Signs Plus Mini Stocks along with the LaBarron Brothers Repair and Parts FWD as well as the NAPA Crate Sportsman Classes will make up their rained out features.  The 2013 Crate Sportsman, Mini’s and FWD points will then be finished and official.

Also, as part of the Sept. 7 event the previously advertised NAPA Crate Sportsman Non-Feature Winners event will also be run.  That makes a total of 10 feature events to be run on the 7th of September, a real bang for your buck!

The Woodhull Raceway will lay dormant on September 14 with practice only from 1 until 4 pm as scheduled with the track re-opening for race competition on Sept. 21.

“It seems like the past several years we have been plagued with late season rain outs and weather it be partial or a total washout of the show it causes all sorts of scheduling issues coming down the home stretch.  There is never a good time for a weather related issue, but when it happens during the last month of the season it sends us scrambling to try and fit everything in particularly when points are figured into the equation.”  We really have no other choice than to stack everything into one night to make sure we get the make-up features completed and the final points secured before we head into our final two events of the season.”  That according Woodhull Raceway track owner, Ted White.
