$10,000 to win, $500 to start The Big Show 7

SUSSEX, NJ (June 25)……..”Thanks to additional support from Halmar International, we’ve raised The Big Show 7 minimum feature race starting money to $500,” said event organizer Brett Hearn. Halmar International, a multi-faceted construction company; Recovery Sports Grill Malta, a sports-themed restaurant (2537 State Route 9, Ballston Spa, New York); Ferris Industries, a commercial lawn car equipment manufacturer; VP Racing Fuels; and North Carolina-based general contracting company Cedar Peaks are major sponsors of The Big Show 7, a midweek special racing program set for Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, New York. It is through their combined participation that The Big Show 7 is among the highest-paying races of the summer season.

In addition to their support, Halmar Racing will be providing a car from their team for NASCAR XFINITY driver and Fox Television racing analyst Kenny Wallace,” said Hearn. “When I first approached Kenny about coming to The Big Show, he said he wouldn’t come just to sign autographs. He wanted to race. So we’ve got a quality Modified lined up for him.”

The evening’s racing program will include group time trials, heat and consolation races, plus the big 100-lap feature race for the Modifieds.  Also in action will be the Sportsman cars and drivers in a pair of 20-lap races, with starting positions determined by timed hot laps and a top-12 in each race redraw. And for the fans there’s a chance to win or share $500 for picking the fastest five Modified drivers in time trials.

Although racing will get under way at 7:00 pm, fans should plan to arrive early to enjoy the midway and refreshments, stop by the souvenir trailers, meet and get autographs from Kenny Wallace and the DIRTcar Modified Series and Albany-Saratoga Speedway drivers. General admission for The Big Show 7 is $24, Children $5.
