MOHAWK INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY STARTS RACING THIS WEEKEND WITH ATOMIC SPRING CLASH
AKWESASNE, NY -- By Bill Smith, Atomic Spring Clash, Public Relations.
All systems are go at Mohawk International Raceway (MIR) in Hogansburg, NY for this weekend's Atomic Spring Clash, set for Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th. Racing begins at 3 PM on both days; a full schedule of events can be found at AtomicSpringClash.com
The Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints are featured on Saturday, April 25th with the Atomic Spring Clash paying $2,500 to win. Saturday's race marks the first of two 2015 appearances for the winged wonders at MIR. Also on the program are the Go Nuclear Late Models, paying $1,000 to win in their feature event, along with an open competition event for the DIRTcar Sportsman-Modifieds. The Modified Lites have also been added to Saturday's racing program.
Saturday's racing begins at 3 PM, with the "Legends of the North Autograph Session" at 1 PM and hot laps at 2 PM. 358 Modifieds will also have open hot lap sessions during Saturday's racing program. Grandstand general admission tickets for adults are $20, students ages 10-16 are $10 , with kids 9 and under FREE! Pit passes are $30. After the races, there will be a "Party in the Pits" social event and MIR will be providing shuttle service to and from the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino and Resort throughout the evening.
Sunday afternoon, the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds take center stage with the "Nuclear Thaw" 40-lap feature event, paying $2,000 to win and offering a guaranteed starting spot for the Salute the Troops 150 during Super DIRTWeek at Syracuse in October. The Go-Nuclear Late Models "Fission 50" will be run as twin 25-lap feature events, each paying $1,000 to win with a "roll the dice" inversion between races, while the Sportsman-Modified "Fusion 40" will pay $1,000 to win.
Sunday's racing begins at 3 PM, with the Go Nuclear Late Model drivers featured in a 1 PM autograph session and hot laps starting at 2 PM. Grandstand general admission tickets for adults are $20, students ages 10-16 are $10 , with kids 9 and under FREE! Pit passes are $30.
Weekend passes are also available at just $35 for grandstands and weekend pit passes for $55. MIR offers free camping on the speedway grounds.

Mohawk International Raceway is located in Hogansburg, NY, one mile east of the International Bridge to Cornwall, Ontario, and just minutes from the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino and Resort. From State Route 37, turn south on Frogtown Road.
MIR is a fast, wide, high-banked 3/8ths mile clay oval that consistently provides fast, thrilling three-wide racing. MIR races every Friday night from May through September, featuring the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman-Modifieds, Modified Lites and Bandits. Completely rebuilt in 2009, MIR features new grandstands and concession buildings and beautiful Musco stadium lighting, and has become known in racing circles as one of the nicest and most exciting racetracks in the Northeast.
