Fall Jamboree Attracting Attention

The 1st Annual Fall Jamboree being presented by Speedway Entertainment at New Egypt Speedway on Saturday November 5th is starting to attract the attention of the small car class racers looking to put their talents on the spacious D-shaped oval.

Rich Tobias is hoping to attract some of the finest micro sprint,Slingshot and Legends race teams as the 1st Annual Fall Jamboree will see a 6 division racing card with the SpeedSTR's running Triple 15's as part of their season ending National Tour and the Great American Enduro racers putting a close on the 2011 Big Kahuna Series  season.

News from the Canadian SpeedSTR group known as RevStar have already expressed interest in having at least 3 of their top teams heading to New Egypt, not only with the SpeedSTR's ,but also with their growing Slingshot class. The RevStar 2011 Champion Yannick Poirier who also currently sits atop the SpeedSTR National point list is planning a southern trip that weekend with Gabriel Richer and Daniel Nadeau planning on traveling as well. The points battle is currently an open field right now as Kyle Hieber,Brittany Wixon,Paul Lotier,Jr.,Brandon Rahmer,Gary Hieber and Matt Janisch are hoping to rearrange the final standings when the checkered is thrown. The Triple 15's will be spread out throughout the program with all 3 races having their points added together to have an overall champion for the day and then counted for the season ending championship title.

The Great American Enduro will see both the small car and big car classes do battle at the same time with individual payouts for each class.Mark Naftzinger is currently sitting atop of the big car class with Bill Stockert and Jim Wolf within striking distance.Jim Watkins and Richie Cass can change the outcome with a strong showing. In the 4 cylinder class,John Crosby is withstanding the challenge set forth by Danny "Pimp" Serrano who is actually driving a Crosby built 60 Over racer.Scott Dunn currently is in 3rd aboard his 03.The 100 lap distance has been run within the time limit set forth and with a point title on the line for both classes, there will be plenty of action leading up to the waving of the checkered.

The Legends race teams that attended the Small Car Classic at Penn Can will find speeds similar to what they experienced on the Susquehanna,PA oval, except that New Egypt has the tricky D-shaped backstretch that will see these drivers looking for the quickest way through. The Legends will be running for $500 to win with the Winners Challenge Bonus accepted. The rules and regulations of the Legends will be based on what is run in this area,to keep teams from making unneeded changes. The distance for the Legends will be a 30 lap distance. If the winner is not WCB eligible the next 3 eligible drivers will each receive $60.

For the 270 micros,600 micros and the Slingshots a $1000 to win payout will be posted with the acceptance of the Winner Challenge Bonus.A 30 car starting field is being used with any 2011 track champion in any of these classes provisional eligible. The Slingshot "Welcome to Jersey 30" will be run as a Pit Stop Challenge National Point race with the front half of the field having 1 pit crew member jacking up the car, changing a RR tire and sending them on their way to the checkpoint where lug nuts and tire change will be checked. They will then lineup as they reached the checkpoint and approved. The remaining cars can change tires but will not advance or lose their position at the 1/2 way stop.If the winner of these races did not accept the Winners Challenge Bonus, the next 3 that did will split the WCB pot.30 lap features will be run for the micros and Slingshots.
