Flemington Speedway Historical Society adds Sammy Beavers and legendary car owner Jim Horton Sr to already impressive lists of attendees for first public appearance at Motorsports 2010
Billy Pauch appearance moved to Sunday and 2010 memberships will be available

Easton PA   –   The newly formed Flemington Speedway Historical Society will be making its’ first official appearance at the 25th annual Motorsports 2010 Race Car & Trade Show 2010 on January 22, 23 & 24 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks.

Newly elected president Bill Hanna and events coordinator Wyatt Jacobus have made arrangements for several Flemington Modified Legends to make appearances at the booth to meet & greet fans and obtain an autograph.  Confirmed for appearance at press time is first ever Flemington Rookie Champion as well as 1982-1983 Modified Champion Ken Brenn Jr., who will be appearing from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM on Saturday, just added are Flemington fan favorite Sammy Beavers and legendary car owner Jim Horton Sr., who both will be appearing from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday.  At 2:00 PM will be long-time Flemington favorite Billy Osmun who won 32 modified main events at Flemington.  In addition long-time Flemington campaigner Fred Dmuchoski will be available on Saturday as well as 1975 Modified Champion Glenn Fitzcharles.

All-time Flemington modified win leader and 7 time champion Billy Pauch will be appearing from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, as he has other obligations on Saturday. 

We are also hoping for a few other “surprise visitors” throughout the weekend.  Please check the appearance board at the booth throughout the weekend for details.  The FSHS also openly invites all former competitors to stop by and visit with fans if you are attending. 

          The mission statement of this organization is to “Preserve, Protect and Document the history of the Flemington Speedway”.    In that respect, 2010 membership into the FSHS will be available to fans for the first time at Motorsports 2010 and we will have several levels (tiers) depending on your interest in the society.  Membership fees start at $25.00 and will include several “one of a kind” inaugural collectibles.   We are currently designing the first FSHS t-shirt and will be taking orders for this great way to show your support throughout the year. 

All of the newly elected officers and board of directors plan to be present at Motorsports 2010, though several will be at locations other than the display and will be glad to meet with you and answer any questions you may have about our goals for the future.  Those with accessibility to the internet can get up-to-date information the social network “Facebook” by searching Flemington Speedway Historical Society.   There you will find all the information you need to know about becoming involved with this society as a member and you will join a network of many fans of the fabled 5/8 mile track known to all as “The Square”.
