FLEMINGTON SPEEDWAY MOVIE NIGHT SET FOR JAN. 26;  PAUCH AND KUHL TO BE HONORED

Flemington, NJ - Flemington Speedway Historical Society (FSHS) will present their third annual auto racing film party on Saturday, January 26, 2013. It will once again be held at what should be a familiar venue to former patrons of the speedway:  the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928, 165 State Highway 31, Flemington.  The festivities begin at 6:00 PM and admission is $12.00.

Be there as FSHS honors racing Promoter Paul Kuhl and Modified Champion Billy Pauch with Tas Awards. Named for the inaugural recipient, the champion Al Tasnady, the awards are bestowed to Flemington Speedway’s Most Influential Persons with a minimum 67% vote by FSHS members. Pauch, who will be accepting his award, heads the list of drivers and personalities who have indicated they will attend.

A Chinese Auction has been added to the festivities. Flemington Speedway action from the 1950s through its closing in 2000 will be the main attraction in films presented by the Fillimon Bros, who this year are including some action by videographer Dale Snyder. A photographer’s slideshow showcase is planned, with other surprises in the works. Cars and memorabilia will be displayed. FSHS merchandise and memberships may be purchased. The Elks’ bar and kitchen will be open for business.

Doors open at 5:00 PM with entertainment from 6:00 PM through 10:00 PM. To reserve “will-call” advance tickets, send payment to: FSHS, PO Box 1003, Flemington, NJ 08822.
