Flemington Speedway Historical Society Presents “RACE DAY at the FAIR”
Sunday, Aug. 25; Frankie Schneider to Speak at Flemington Elks Tues., Aug. 20th

Flemington, NJ -- Flemington Speedway Historical Society (FSHS) will have a large tent full of vintage race cars and memorabilia on display all week at the Hunterdon County 4-H and Agricultural Fair. The fair runs August 21-25, 2013 at South County Park, Route 179, Lambertville, NJ.

Sunday, August 25, FSHS presents “Race Day at the Fair,” when countless drivers, owners, officials, and other Flemington Speedway personalities gather to celebrate the legacy of auto racing at the fabled Flemington Fairgrounds. Interview sessions begin at noon in the FSHS tent. In 2012, more than 100 drivers were in attendance, and a similar turnout is again expected.

Frankie Schneider, legendary local Stock Car racer, will be the guest speaker at FSHS's Tuesday, August 20 meeting. You are invited to attend. All are welcome, admission is free. Food, drink, and FSHS merchandise are available. FSHS meets 7:00 PM the third Tuesday of each month at the Flemington Elks Lodge 1928, 165 Route 31, Flemington, NJ.

FSHS’s mission is to preserve, protect and document the history of the Flemington Fairgrounds and Speedway. Please visit FSHS on the web at www.flemingtonspeedwayhistoricalsociety.com for more information, and follow FSHS on Facebook for the latest news and historic photos. Or call President Mark Harrington at 484-221-5052 for more information.
