Flemington Speedway Historical Society Car Show is set for Saturday, October 17

FLEMINGTON, NJ - This Saturday, October 17, Flemington Speedway Historical Society’s fifth annual Car Show opens to spectators at 9:00 AM. The show ends organically after an awards parade and presentation. That ceremony begins at 1:40 PM. The Hunterdon County Fairgrounds (South County Park), Route 179, Lambertville, New Jersey 08853 is the venue. It’s near the intersection of Routes 202 and 179 in Ringoes, NJ.

More than 830 vehicles were displayed last year. This year, the volume of pre-registration is unprecedented. Event organizers are thrilled with this response and have high expectations for another successful show. More than 1,000 show cars are anticipated.

All types of vehicles are welcome. Registration is $10 per show vehicle. Spectator Admission is $5.00 per adult, parking is free.

First responders - Police Departments, Fire Departments, and Rescue Squads - are encouraged to promote their organizations by exhibiting a vehicle. Registration is free for these entries. Any first responders wishing to display active duty or antique apparatus should contact event volunteers at 908-246-8820 to reserve their space.

The accompanying flea market and swap meet has also registered vendors at record pace. Vendor fees are $10.00 for a 20’ by 12’ indoor space and $100.00 for a 24’ by 16’ premium outdoor space.

Musician J.T. Rooney will perform live with friends inside the main building, which is the site of the FSHS display, registration, and information center. 2015 Car Show apparel and Flemington Speedway souvenirs will be for sale. DJ Dan Henry will be announcing and playing tunes outside. A variety of festival food will be offered, from pit beef sandwiches to homemade pies.

The event's patron, Lentini Auto Salvage, developed a long-standing relationship with Flemington Speedway that now benefits FSHS. Through seven decades the Ringoes business has been a trusted source for quality used auto parts.

Flemington Speedway Historical Society Inc. is a public charity 501(c)(3) non profit organization, whose mission is to preserve, protect, and document the history of the Flemington Fairgrounds and Speedway.

The Car Show is produced by FSHS in cooperation with the Hunterdon County 4-H and Agricultural Fair. Proceeds benefit both parties.
