FLEMINGTON SPEEDWAY HISTORICAL SOCIETY CAR SHOW SET FOR SAT., OCT. 20TH; HUNTERDON’S LARGEST CAR SHOW WELCOMES ALL CARS, VENDORS AND SPECTATORS
Oct. 20, Flemington Speedway Historical Society's eighth annual Car
Show presented by Flemington Department Store will be held at the Roger
K. Everitt Fairgrounds (South County Park-4H Fairgrounds), 1207 Route
179 in Lambertville. The event is rain or shine. Exhibitor gates open at
7:00 am, spectator gates open at 9:00. Awards are at 2:00 and the show ends at 3:00.
vehicle registration is $15, spectator admission is $5 per adult, and
spectator parking is free. Children under 16 years of age are admitted
free with an adult. There is no pre-registration.
All types of vendors and crafters are welcome. Premium
outdoor commercial vendor spaces are still available and flea market
and swap meet vendors would set up inside the four pole buildings. Flea market spaces are $20.00.
Department Store joins as title sponsor for Hunterdon County's largest
car show. More than 950 vehicles were displayed last year. All types of
vehicles are welcome - cars, race cars, motorcycles, trucks, tractors,
boats, monster trucks, emergency vehicles, or military vehicles.
Trophies will be awarded to first place winners in 19 classes and some
special awards will also be given. Dash plaques and goodie bags will be available to the first 600 entries in the Grange Building.
Responders such as Police Departments, Fire Departments, and Rescue
Squads are encouraged to promote their organizations by exhibiting a
vehicle. Registration is free for these entries.
