Evansí Injury Leads to Altered 2017 Plans

Parker Evansí injury has lead the #61 Trackside Products team altering their plans in 2017.  A heat race crash at Outlaw Speedway just a few short weeks ago lead to Evans being sidelined for an uncertain amount of time.  Evans who sustained a back injury will now require surgery and a signicant amount of rehabilitation time.

In the meantime, the #61 team is committed to fielding their car on the ESS circuit and raced this past weekend at Woodhull Raceway with former champion Scott Kreutter in the driverís seat.

Last weekend the team set out to the Woodhull Raceway and compete with the Patriot Sprint Car tour.  The 360 tour is one of two in the update NY region and often compete at the same or similar tracks.  Evans and Kreutter headed to the 1/3-mile-high banked red clay facility.

With 36 cars signed into the pit area, Kreutter started 7th in heat race #2 and finished in the 2nd position directly transferring into the feature event.  After the transfer, Kreutter started in the 5th position and brought home and 8th place finish earning a top 10 in their first time out together.

This weekend the Empire Super Sprints move Outlaw Speedway on Friday May 19th before headed to Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday night.
