Whittall Just Outside Top 10 at Selinsgrove

Justin Whittall and the Pioneer Auto Body, World Wide Bearings #67w continues to run up front.  On Saturday night, the 67w team headed to the Selinsgrove Speedway to compete with the Patriot Sprints Tour.  Whittall was one of 29 teams signed into the nights action and the young New Jersey hotshoe time 4th quickest.

Starting heat race 1 from the 3rd position, Whittall jumped into the 2nd position on the first lap and got a nose under race leader Cody Keller for the lead on lap 4 but couldn’t complete the pass until lap 5.  Once Whittall completed the pass and was out front the 67w car easily drove away for his second heat race win of 2017.

Whittall started the 25-lap feature event in the 6th position and got shuffled back to the 8th position on the initial race start.  Whittall battled in the 8th position for most of the race until he slipped to the 12th position on lap 14.  Whittall then climbed back into the 11th position for the final 8 laps.  At just 16 years of age, Whittall continues to impress and now with 2 heat race victories it is just a matter of time before the 67w is parked in victory lane.

Whittall will now head to the Big Diamond Speedway on Friday night to compete with the Capitol Renegade United Racing Club and then again on Saturday night at the Selinsgrove Speedway.
