Weller Heads to NY after Central PA Weekend

Josh Weller and the Schearers VW & Audi Specialists team headed to central Pennsylvania this past weekend.  Saturday night Weller and the Capitol Renegade United Racing Club made their first appearance in a number of seasons at the Lincoln Speedway.

With 54 cars signed into the pit area, Weller started in the 8th position in heat race 2.  Weller drove all the way up to the 3rd finishing position advancing 5 positions during the 8-lap heat race event.  Weller’s 3rd place finish advanced the Mertztown driver to the 25-lap feature event. 

Weller started in the 12th position for the 25-lap feature event and was up to 6th place with 20 laps down.  Weller picked off one more car in 5 laps and brought home a 5th place finish. 

On Sunday, Weller and the 63-team headed further into central PA to the Path Valley Speedway.  With 21 cars signed into the pit area, Weller started in the 10th position for the feature event.  The teams plan was to not tear up anything and to start and park the 63. 

Weller will now prep the 360 machine for this weekend at the team heads to Outlaw Speedway on Friday night for the annual Outlaw Speedway Fall Nationals.  The race combines all regional 360 series with Patriot, United Racing Club and ESS all represented and pay $5,000 to win.  On Saturday night, the team will tow to Fonda Speedway.  The Track of Champions will be hosting all three series for the second consecutive night and will pay tribute to fall URC Champion Kramer Williamson with the Kramer Williamson Memorial race.
