WARREN COUNTY FARMERS FAIR HOSTING JULY 27TH LEGENDS & RACE CAR SHOW

       Phillipsburg, NJ - The yearly much anticipated Warren Couty Farmers Fair will be presenting a Racing Legends & Race Car Show as part of its week long festivities. That show is slated to highlight the opening day agenda of the Fair on Sunday, July 27th starting a noon time.
        Warren County Farmers Fair brass has set aside a seperate under cover pole barn for the Racing Legends & Race Car Show site. Playing a a big role in this first time presentation is the hard working Harmony Speedway Historical Society.
          Local racing greats already lined up for this show are most recent DIRT Hall of Fame inductee Carl Van Horn, fellow Hall of Famer Bob Pickell, former NASCAR Winston Cup racing standout Tighe Scott and Harmony Speedway racing great Ray neary with many more to follow to greet there many fans on hand Sunday, July 27th.
           Topping the list of restored race cars that will be on hand is the ever famous "Polecat' #39 driven by all-time favorite Al Tasnady, the modified stock car #93 that won the Flemington and East Windsor Speedway track championships driven by Dick havens, the car Tighe Scott nearly won the 1979 Daytona 500 with, Bob Pickell's always steady running #300 and former Olympian Ray Bateman's race car that he experienced much success with more to follow. Awards are scheduled to be given out to the best race car displays on that day, also.
           All race car divers, past and present, along with any type race car, past and present, are openly invited to be a part of this hopefully very successful first time venture. Those planning on attending or displaying a race car are asked to contact Archie Myers at 908-454-4817 to obtain proper credentials for Fair admittence.
            The Warren County Farmers fair is located easily on Route 519, minutes from Phiilisburg,NJ and the former Harmony Speedway. The Fair will run for a seven day stint from July27th through August 2nd with the Racing Lengends & Race Car Show only being presented on Sunday, July 27th.
