RACING HALL OF FAMERS GRACE FLEMINGTON FAIR AUG. 23

The historic Flemington Fair Speedway auto racing heritage of providing top notch competition every season memories will come alive in a big way Wednesday, August 19th through Sunday, August 23rd during the Flemington Fair Race Car Show, Memorabilia & Vintage Race car Show at the Hunterdon County 4-H & Agricultural fair at the South County Park on Route 179 in Ringoe, NJ.

The first speedway tribute at last year's fair was so overwhelmingly popular with the fans that the show's organizers, Wyatt Jacobus and Clint Bush, are planning an even bigger and better event this time around.

Headlining this show will be the Sunday, August 23rd presentation that is shaping up as a real Hall Of Fame auto racing memory day at the fair with many racing alumni that have garnered that very prestigious honor in attendance that day.

Such renowned Hall Of Fame status race drivers as Frankie Schneider, Stan Ploski, Sammy Beavers, Billy Osmun, Bob Pickell, Carl Van Horn, Bob Rossell, Billy Pauch and recent 2009 DIRT Hall Of Fame inductee Ken Brenn, Jr. will all be in attendance on that special Sunday at the Flemington Fair Race car Show.

Joining that impressice array will be Hall Of Fame race car owners Ken Brenn, Sr., John Norcia, Dick Cozze and Jim Horton. Hall Of Fame racing photographers John "Ace" Lane, Jr. and Ralph Richards, Jr. along with HoF racing journalist Ken Kuhlman are also set to be on hand along with race offical Harold Rulon who has also gained that elite honor.

Also, among the many vintage race cars on display during that five day show will be race cars that at one time were campaigned by late Hall Of Famers Al Tasnady, Jackie McLaughlin and Budd Olsen in addition to one assembled by the late, great mechanic Sonny Dornberger.

Last year's Sunday presentation drew over 100 drivers from that golden era of racing to the fair to meet and greet the fans and sign autographs. Sunday will also see them and race car displayers treated to a complimentary luncheon courtesy of Nicola's Pizza of Califon, NJ and Clint Bush Racing Photos.

Numerous other racing related displays and memorabilia will also be a a part of this five day show that will not only honor the glory days of Flemington racing but those at East Windsor Speedway as well as other area race tracks no longer in existence.
