American Racer Cup To Giveaway Pre-Season Tires Again In 2015!
BINGHAMTON, NY…The finishing touches on the 2015 American Racer Cup are currently taking place heading in to the new racing season.   Once again this season The $150,000 American Racer Cup will award an early season tire and certificate drawing for any team that registers prior to the March 28th Bridgeport Speedway Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour event.

Five free tires will be awarded to early season American Racer Cup Modified members.  The early season draw will again take place at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday, March 28th. Five free $85 Sportsman certificate winners will also be drawn that day. Teams are encouraged to register early and be eligible for the pre-season giveaways!  All teams from any of the participating tracks that file their membership prior or on March 28th will again be eligible.
Last year Sam Allen, Mike Bills, Stacey Jackson, Rick Laubach and Sam Martz were the Modified tire winners from the early season drawing.  The Sportsman certificate recipients were: Mike Austin, Dean Bachman, Mike Butler, Kyle Cicio and Billy Moyer Jr.
The American Racer Cup awards drivers that participate in the program at their weekly race track.  The cup is designed for Modified and Sportsman teams with over $150,000 in cash, prize and contingencies being awarded right here in the northeast by American Racer and Lias Tire.
The ranking system takes a driver’s best 12 finishes at their home weekly speedway and ranks them against the other member drivers at participating tracks.  A driver never has to leave their home speedway to be part of the ranking system as the points are based solely on home track performance.  Bonuses and benefits in conjunction with the Race of Champions Modified and Sportsman tour exist but have no effect on the overall points for the American Racer Cup titles.
Last season Grandview Speedway weekly campaigners Duane Howard (Modifieds) and Jared Umbenahuer (Sportsman) were the overall champions of the American Racer Cup program.  Teams are required to purchase a one-time membership that makes them eligible for not only the overall ranking but random tire and certificate drawings at participating race tracks.  The Modified membership is $50 and has not changed in price since the inception of the program.  The Sportsman membership is $40.  Forms can be downloaded at
Any of the teams that want to participate will have the opportunity to also do so in person at the Syracuse Motorsports Expo show in March along with the Race of Champions Dirt Tour events being held at Selinsgrove (Saturday, March 14th), New Egypt (Saturday, March 21st) and Bridgeport Speedway (Saturday, March 28th) during the month as well. Southern Tier, New York teams will also be able to sign up at the Mike & Michelle Stolarcyk Car & Trucks Oakdale Mall Show in Johnson City, NY.  That takes place between February 27th and March 1st.
