Owners Stephen and Diane Searock join forces with Mike Mammana for 2015

After a two year long attempt to compete with the heavy hitters in the small block ranks, Mammana, the Nazareth native has decided to slow things down a bit.  Mike has been running his family owned ride for the past 10 years.  Mike and wife Jodi, along with his parents Pat and Linda Mammana have thrown everything they got at Mike’s racing career.  Wonderful Pistachios which came aboard a few years ago has pulled out their sponsorship and racing was starting to look like a thing of the past.

After a conversation with good friend and fellow racer Stephen Searock, there looks to be some new fire in the Mammana Race Shop.  “Mike is a good friend.  He is very family oriented just like Diane and me.  Mike has been a huge part of my success in the sportsman ranks at Bridgeport Speedway.  I had a talk with Mike.  I asked him, what does he really want to do with his racing career? He told me, He just wants to win again.  He looks forward to standing in victory lane with his youngest son, Tre”, stated Searock.

“After several conversations between the two of us, my wife and I decided to try to help out the Mammana’s Team.  I thought it would be good for Mike to go back where he had so much success.  So we decided to supply him with a potent Morgantini Sportsman Motor”, said Searock.

Mike will pilot his family owned 2013 Bicknell powered by a Searock Motorsports Morgantini power plant.  Mike will return to Big Diamond in 2015 for weekly competition in the Sportsman Division and work at trying to earn his first Sportsman Championship.  The combination hopes to be sitting in victory lane soon.

In 2011 Mike earned six wins at Big Diamond.  He hopes to pick up where he left off.  He was the 2004 Rookie Champion at Bridgeport Speedway.  He earned two runner up spots at Big Diamond in the small block ranks.  The second generation driver out of Nazareth, PA and the nephew of veteran racer the late Tom Hagar appears to have received his second wind.

Look for this team to come out on a mission opening day, March 22nd at Big Diamond Speedway.
