By Brad Vores for Racing Xtravaganza
The countdown is on for Racing Xtravaganza!
Now that the auto racing season is over around Central Pennsylvania, race fans can now look forward to the big show that will take place at the Utz Arena at the York Expo Center on Saturday and Sunday, February 3-4, 2018.
In what will be the third annual event of the show, the show offers up a lot of many different activities for those that love auto racing.
And for the third straight year, BAPS Auto Paint and Supply will return as the title sponsor for Racing Xtravaganza.
“Racing Xtravaganza is excited to have BAPS Auto Paint and Supply back as our title sponsor,’ show owner Scott Gobrecht stated. “We opened car and vendor registration a few weeks ago and the response has been tremendous.”
That is a great thing for the race fan!
While many of the great show events from the past return, New for 2018 will be the BAPS Finishing First $1,000 to Win Corn Hole Challenge, Free RC Racing and an Exclusive Hotel Deal.
The BAPS Finishing First $1,000 Corn Hole Challenge will feature veteran stars and popular young guns from various racing divisions competing in a tournament style corn hole contest. The winner will receive a $1,000 BAPS Finishing sponsorship for the upcoming racing season and second place will receive a $500 sponsorship. Participants will have a chance to double their winnings if their race car is on display at Racing Xtravaganza.
‘Initial reactions to the BAPS Finishing First Corn Hole Challenge is that it will be a great addition to the show,” Gobrecht added. “The BAPS Challenge will bring out the stars of our sport to Racing Xtravaganza.”
Another new addition to the show will be all show attendees and racing fans can test their driving skills on a radio-controlled racing system that provides exciting 1/18 scale stock car racing.
“Racing Xtravaganza is proud to bring this new feature to fans for free,” Gobrecht added. “Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the RC Track area. We expect a crowd to gather for this as each race can have up to eight competitors of all ages.”
