Ominous Forecast Forces Bridgeport to Cancel Bike Night Racing Program

Bridgeport, NJ - Weather has certainly hindered Bridgeport’s 2018 season thus far.  With hopes that the month of June would bring more stable forecasts to South Jersey, today’s cancellation has proven that wasn’t the case.

“We were hoping to get a good rhythm going after finally racing last Saturday,” offered track owner Brian Ramey.  “We’ve watched every forecast, weatherman, and checked every weather app and the storms are coming and some pretty severe.  At this point we felt it best to save the teams and fans a lot of time, money, and frustration and make an early decision,” Ramey added.

Next week Bridgeport will swing back into action with ‘First Responders Night’ featuring a 4-division show.  The next Bike Night will be on July 7.  Don’t forget that the USAC 410 wingless sprint cars will tow into town on Monday, June 18 for what is sure to be an epic event.  For more information you can go to www.bpspeedway.com and follow the track on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
