KING OF THE CAN WEEKEND COULD BE WORTH $1,000 TO A FOUR CYLINDER DRIVER

SUSQUEHANNA, PA…Exciting news for Four Cylinder drivers has just been announced by Penn Can Speedway. A Four Cylinder driver could take home $1,000 at the King of the Can Weekend, October 16th and 17th. The Four Cylinders will be in competition on both nights of the weekend in $400 to win races with a $200 bonus if you can sweep the weekend.
This will be a huge opportunity for the Front Wheel Drive Four Cyilnders . Each night they will compete in races that will pay $400 to win, $200 for second, $100 for third and $40 to take the green. This is the same purse that was paid at the recent Clash at the Can, which was won by Tim Vandermark.
Should a driver be able to sweep the weekend they will pocket a $200 bonus, bringing their weekend haul up to $1,000. “The Front Wheel Drive Four Cylinders always put on a great show and often don’t get the recognition they deserve”, said Promoter Dan Harpell. “This is our way of putting them in the limelight”, he added.
As was the case with the Clash at the Can, track rules will apply. Rear wheel drive cars will not be allowed to compete. This event is strictly for Front Wheel Drive Four Cylinders.
The King of the Can Weekend takes the green flag on Friday, October 16th featuring a $5,000 to win, 60 lap feature for the Race of Champions Modifieds as well as a $1,000 to win GRIT Sportsman feature for Crate Sportsman and the big show for the Four Cylinders. Race time is 7:00 p.m.
The action will then resume on Saturday, October 17th featuring the CRSA Sprint Cars, Race of Champions Sportsman and Street Stocks, IMCA Style Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Four Cylinders and Slingshots. Race time on Saturday is 5:00 p.m.
Penn Can Speedway is located on Route 171 in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, just across the New York border. For further information check out our Facebook page or log onto
