PENN CAN SPEEDWAY BANQUET TO HONOR 2015 CHAMPIONS ON JANUARY 23rd AT THE MONTDALE COUNTRY CLUB

 

Susquehanna, PA…Only one more event remains on the Penn Can schedule for the 2015 racing season. The annual speedway banquet is scheduled for Saturday January 23rd at the Montdale Country Club in Montdale, Pennsylvania. The awards banquet will honor the speedway’s top drivers from 2015. As always the banquet is open to all drivers, family, friends, fans, and sponsors of Penn Can Speedway.

 

The banquet includes a cocktail hour beginning at 6:00. This will be followed by Montdale Country Club’s great buffet dinner.  Annually this proves to be one of the best buffets on the banquet circuit. The dinner will feature beef, chicken strips, pasta, meatballs, mashed potatoes, corn, pasta salad, cole slaw, rolls and butter and cake. The Montdale Country Club is well known for its delicious food. Following dinner, the awards will be presented the top drivers in all divisions.

 

Modified champion Kevin Hartnett of Towanda, Pennsylvania will be celebrating his fourth Penn Can title. Finishing behind Hartnett in the final points standings were Alan Rudalavage, Nick Rochinski and Dan Pompey who all tied for the second position in points. Following the top four were Brian Malcolm, Brian Weaver, Mike Loney, Frank Porreca, Joey Colsten, Nick Petrilak in modified points. Alex Gennarelli of New Milford won his first ever championship. He was followed by Dusty Barton, Ryan Olsommer, Marty Bunker, Devon Zona, Matt Brewer, Todd Titus, Tyler Singleton, Grant Hilfiger, and Randy Gates.

 

In the popular street stock division Shane Wolf Jr was the top point man in a hard fought season long battle with Ryan Stone. They were followed by Ray Lindquist, Randy Fox, Chuck Murray, Doug Stack Jr, Dan Force, Kyle Stark, Cody Brown, and Ryan Coddington. The factory stock champion was Jeremy Williams over Jason Travis, Ted Mills Jr, Kris Shimer, Ned Fitch, Nathan Hill, Luke Arbogast, Chase Vinton, Buck Mills Jr, and Jason Neyra. Mike Robinson won the four cylinder championship followed by Matt McKernan, Frank Kennedy, Josh Wilder, Nick Kennedy, John Maynard, Ronald Welch, Clayton Force, Don Doster Jr, and Dylan Robinson. All of these drivers will be honored at the Award Banquet. Special award presentations will also be made at this time. After the awards have been distributed, a D.J. will play for your dancing enjoyment. Last season this also proved to be a very popular part of the night’s activities.

 

The cost of the banquet is only $35 per person. The buffet, soda, and beer will be provided. A cash bar will also be available for those that wish something different. As mentioned before, the banquet is open to all. This is a fine way to thank sponsors and fans for their support of your race team during the 2012 season. Since space is limited, no tickets will be sold at the door. All seating will be by reservation only. All tickets must be pre-paid. Tables are limited to ten people. Those with groups larger than ten will be seated at tables next to one another. Teams receiving awards and points fund money must be present to collect the awards.
