The points from last Friday night's racing action at Accord Speedway have been updated and plenty of close battles remain in progress with this coming Friday evenings "Night of Champions" on September 11th at the speedway slated to determine all of the speedway champions for the 2015 racing season. The headline co-sponsors for the evening will be Taylor Rental and Williams Lumber and all of the drivers who remain in contention with aspirations for a track title will have to be at their very best in this final opportunity to be track champion and win the bragging rights at the speedway for a job well done. All speedway champions will be interviewed in the Lucas Oil Products Victory Lane at the conclusion of the racing events. Also on tap on Friday evening is a special tribute the speedway will pay to all first First Responders on the Anniversary of the horrific events that occurred on September 11th, 2001. All First Responders, Police, Firemen, and EMT's will be admitted to the speedway FREE of Charge with Department ID.

The United Pump and Tank Modified title remains up for grabs between Jeff Heotzler Sr and Mike Ricci as just 24 points separate them with one night of points remaining as the veteran driving stars drive towards the Modified title. Another tight battle being waged within the ranks of the Escape RV Sportsmen has has just twenty four points separating the top three drivers, Kevin Ward, the point leader, Jesse Marks in second place and Jimmy Wells in third. Robbie Knipe enjoys a slim lead in the Healey Brothers Group Spec Sportsman division as he has a 14 point margin over Ed Dachenhausen. In another close battle, rookie campaigner Chris Streeter has just a two point lead over veteran wheelman Gary Ronk in the Arkel Motors Pure Stock division. Ronk has scored five wins to date in 2015 while Streeter has been the mark of consistency with no wins but solid finishes throughout the season. Dave Demorest has a fifteen point margin over Al Christiana heading into the final night of points in the Ruge's Performance Center Pro Stock division. Both Slingshot divisions are currently under review with a small glitch in the points.

Racing is on tap every Friday night at Accord Speedway from April through September. Pit Gates open at 4:30; Spectator Gates open at 5:00; Hot Laps are at 6:30 and the racing begins at 7 PM. Admission for Adults $14.00; Seniors (65+) $12.00; Children $3.00 (11+ under) Indoor Seating $20.00; Family four pack special: 2 Adults + 2 Children and $20.00 in Accord Bucks for $44.00 (a savings of $10.00) Special shows do have an increase in admission.

September 11th brings the "Night of Champions" to the speedway grounds on an evening sponsored by Taylor Rental. All 2105 division champions will be named and interviewed in the Lucas Oil Products Victory Lane.
Racing fans are encouraged to secure your plans for the "King of the Catskills" spectacular coming to the speedway on September 18th and sponsored by Insinger Fuels. The Modified event will be 60 laps and offering a grand prize of $5,000.00 to the winner. The Sportsmen will race for 30 laps and the winner will receive a $1,500.00 prize. Enduro racing will immediately follow the feature events with $2,000.00 on the line for the winner.
