Vivona And Zellman New Faces In Borgers Friday Victory Lane

A serious accident which closed Route 33 held Friday night car counts below their normal levels but the on track action was at it’s best.
Rob Vivona jumped to an early lead in Wingless 600 Sprint action and never looked back. Vivona lead every circuit with Tex Snyder, in his best run of the season hot on his tail.  While Snyder made several moves for the lead Vivona held him off and took starter Rich Raidline’s checkered flag.  Luke Schostkewitz who ran strong all night finished third.
Port Murray, NJ’s Greg Zellman’s 2010 season has been one of frustration.  Numerous times this year Zellman had victory snatched from his grasp in the AllStar Slingshot division.  Tonight it would all change.  Zellman jumped to an early out dragging pole sitter Scott Miller to turn one.  From that point on it was all Zellman.  Point leader Kurt Bettler was soon on his tail but while trying every trick in the book could not overtake the high flying Zellman.  Zellman pulled into victory lane for the first time with Bettler settleing for second.  Scott Miller looking for his second win of the season had his hopes dashed by an ill handling car but held it together to finish a solid third.
Amber Oraschin added to her win list in the Jr. Slingshots and extended her point lead in the
Friday night series.
