Billy Pauch, Lou Cicconi, and Ms Motorsports Katie Todorow Headed To Borgers For OctoberFest Round 5 Saturday October 26
Please take note. We will be starting heat races at approximately 2:30 p.m.
TQ owner Colin Martin has just confirmed that Billy Pauch will be piloting his TQ for Borgers OctoberFest Round 5. Pauch, who recently won his 700th feature, will be taking to the Borgers 1/7 mile asphalt oval in hopes of increasing his win statistics. Liquid Lou Cicconi will be on hand trying to stop him as well as Brett Conkling winner of Borgers Rumble On The Ridge, Anthony Sesley winner of OctoberFest Round 1 and last week’s winner and current OctoberFest point leader Austin Fehr. Kurt Bettler, Pat VanVarick, Geoffrey Sutton, Joe Agnello, Mike Tidaback, and a host of others will also be looking for that first OctoberFest win. $750 will go to the winner with a minimum 12 car count and a $40 entry fee. The TQ/Asphalt 600 Sprint OctoberFest championship will go down to the wire with Austin Fehr holding a slight lead over Brett Conkling, Pat VanVarick, Mike Tidaback, and Geoffrey Sutton.
2013 Ms. Motorsports Katie Todorow will be on hand signing autographs and participating in victory lane ceremonies. Katie will also have her posters on sale. Katie, a very popular Ms. Motorsports, has been making appearances at racetracks throughout the 2013 racing season and we are very honored to have her at Borgers Speedway.
This just in. The ATQMRA Vintage TQ Club will also be racing in their usual two races with their “Magnificent” Vintage TQ’s of yesteryear. This club has grown in leaps and bounds and always puts on a fine display of racing “As It Used To Be.”
The AllStar Slingshots will also be in competition with Mike Lapicki, Taylor Eccles, Jim Laucbach, Ryan Lacoe, Tom Arntz, Kurt Bettler, Mike Moyer, and James Moyer all in contention for the OctoberFest Championship. Junior Slingshots will also be on the card.
$1000 to win will be up for grabs for the Briggs Flathead Heavys with a 12 car count and $50 entry fee. A tight battle for the championship is be waged by Scott Heilman, Randy Ehrhardt, and Ron Ehrhardt.
MicroStocks will be racing for $300 to win, 2nd. $150, 3rd. $100, 4th. $75, 5th. $50, and so on with a 8 car count and $25 entry fee.
In addition a full Kart program will round out the day’s events.
A complete racing program for all divisions will follow on Saturday November 2. The schedule for the remainder of the season will also be announced.
