Billy Pauch Jr. and Shawn Nye Ready To Rumble On The Ridge

We have just received confirmation that one of the hottest drivers on the east coast in 358 Modifieds and Speedsters Billy Pauch Jr. will be in competition at the second annual Rumble On The Ridge for Borgers Allstar TQ/600 Sprints Saturday October 25 at Borgers Speedway.  Pauch will pilot the potent George and Marilyn VanVarick 43 600 Sprint which has seen numerous trips to victory lane  this season by regular driver Kurt Bettler and two victories by Brandon Azzalina including Azzalina’s stunning victory in the Bob Tidaback Memorial.

The Hot Shoe from the north Shawn Nye a regular with the New York state TQ groups will make the long haul to take on the fierce competition this race is known for.

Also expected to be in competition will be the “Guru Of TQ’s”, Blu Metz with his Metz Rides For Rent team including Geoffrey Sutton who also has two victories this season at the Borgers oval.  Borgers 2014 TQ/600 Sprint point champion Larry Hoagland the undisputed success story of 2014 will be in the Fred Bittner 54.   Rob Vivona will be in the driver’s seat of the blue number 17 Bangor Steel machine.  Mark Yoder who has been consistently finishing in the top five will be shooting for the $1000 pot of gold.  Jordan Tittle, plagued with bad luck snatching almost certain victories will be looking to to get the monkey off his back.  Never count out Mike Tidaback recording numerous victories this season.  Mike has mastered the science of running a managed race which puts him up front constantly.  Veteran and Senior Statesman Bing Metz will try his luck in the Mark Janisch owned entry.  2013 Borgers TQ/600 Sprint champion Austin Fehr is always a threat whenever the 73 takes to the speedway.

The 2013 Rumble On the Ridge drew thirty cars including the best of the best in TQ/600 Sprint racing  on the entire east coast making it the biggest outdoor event in many years.  Additional entries will be released as we receive them.

The race will be $1000 to win 75 laps with a fuel stop on lap 40.  There will be an open tire rule.  A pill draw will be used to determine heat starting positions with feature starting spots determined by the heat races.
