The extremely popular CARQUEST Gasoline Alley TV/Internet Show and the Reading Fairgrounds Racing Historical Society have joined forces to offer a special awards package to winners of the events that will take place at the 7th Annual Reading Fairgrounds Nostalgia Nationals events scheduled for the 7th and 8th of August. The final details of the awards package program were nailed into place recently and the CARQUEST Gasoline Alley Gang is happy to once again play a role in the success of the annual event. The CARQUEST Gasoline Alley TV/Internet Show has been the premier racing show on the airwaves since 2002 and recently hosted their 532nd show since they hit the airwaves and their 321st show since joining forces with the party channel at WALN Digital Cable and "Happy Jack" Burns on Channels 103 and 137 and 50. The show offers a live video feed to Internet users through the website: Through the first nine years on the networks and the many shows they have emceed, the Pados Brothers have interviewed more than 7500 personalities in racing across the country and Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
The Gang through the solid efforts of show co-host Ed Pados, has put together a solid network of sponsors who will lend their assistance to this annual event. Ackermanville Auto Clinic, A.R.M. Automotive, Gardner Auto Service/Gary Gardner, Huston's Automotive/Danny Huston, Lane's Auto Repair, Lou's Texaco/Lou Horvath, Mammana's Automotive/Pat & Mike Mammana, Mark Gray Automotive/Mark and Pat Gray, Martocci Automotive/Tommy Martocci, Tony's Auto Repair, Bok Engine Service/Randy Bok, Murante Auto Repair, Gary and Donna Palmer at Accord Speedway, Rick's A-Tech Automotive, Carl's Auto Repair, Dotta Chrysler and Jeep, GA Motorsports Media and CARQUEST Gasoline Alley will all lend their full support to the RFRHS for this event with more expected before the racing goes green at the Fairgrounds. The monies raised will be split up among both the Junior and Regular Slingshot Divisions who will be in competition for the two-day event. Ed Pados, co-host on the popular show remarked, "We have always enjoyed a great relationship with the RFRHS group, and have always been able to pull together some solid support for the event and will continue to do so in the future. Many of the Slingshot driving stars of today and many that have moved on to other divisions in racing have interviewed on our show and we are extremely proud of our efforts with what we have accomplished since we began our show nine years ago and to be able to assist our good friends at the RFRHS is purely the icing on the cake". Pados later added, "We will utilize a similar format as we did in past years and will be on the grounds at the Reading Fair to talk to the racers and with the change of dates will now allow us to bring a camera crew to the Fairgrounds on Sunday and tape some shows for future airing at WALN. Our recent road trips that found us at the Thunder on the Hill Shows have proven to extremely popular for the fans and my brother Steve, who produces and writes all of the shows, always adds a wrinkle or two to each show and has allowed our show to remain at the top of the charts in the world of motorsports". The racing on Sunday will have the gates opening at 11 AM. Practice will be at 1 PM and the racing will follow at 2:30 PM. The Monday evening races will find the gates opening at 4 PM with practice at 6 PM and the races starting at 7 PM.
The Reading Fairgrounds Racing Historical Society was founded with the sole purpose of keeping the memories of the great racing that took place at the famed Reading Fairgrounds alive through the many events in which they are involved with each year in the tri-state area. CARQUEST Gasoline Alley has been extremely honored to play a part in the celebration of the great racing that took place at the great Reading Speedway and to the many fond memories regarding the former raceway and it's competitors. The 2010 Home of Champions induction ceremony will be held at the Reading Fair on Wednesday evening, August 9th at 7 PM. The grounds are located at 1216 Hilltop Road, Leesport, PA. The list of inductees for the 2011 ceremony is extraordinary and includes such racing greats as Jackie McLaughlin, Red Coffin, Jim Keppley, Jerry Katz and Charlie Bailey as Drivers, The Leinbach Brothers and Dick Meals as Car Owners and Sam Reber and Davey Brown as Mechanics. The popular race society will be taking on new memberships throughout the run of the fair dates.
The popular TV/Internet show offers a live internet video feed to the Internet subscribers to view the wide assortment of the many racing videos that are played while the show is in progress and to enjoy the chat sessions with the many great personalities within the racing community from across the country who pay the Gang a visit to discuss racing. As always, a surprise or two will be expected as the Gasoline Alley Gang continues to bring the racing community the fastest, funniest and most informed show on the airwaves today.
