UNOFICIALLY, SUMMER IS ARRIVING AT THE DIRT CAPITOL 

HAGERSTOWN, MD – Officially it’s not until summer until June 21st, but unofficially, it’s time to unwrap the summer schedule at Hagerstown Speedway/Dirt Capitol LLC.    

Leaving the three day Memorial Day and Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speedweek programs behind, June opens June 7th with a regular program of Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic Late Models, Malloy Ford Late Model Sportsman, K. Lynn Management LLC Pure Stocks, Mason Dixon Auto Auction Hobby Stocks and the Cochran Auctioneers Four Cylinders. Hobby Stocks will compete in a Double Point Summer Championship event.

On Wednesday the 11th, the speedway will be available from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. for another Test and Tune session. There were 37 race cars that took advantage of the April session, but May’s was cancelled due to weather conditions.

The late model sportsman will highlight the June 14th evening with the Hoosier Daddy Topless Double Point event paying $1,000 to the winner. Line-ups will be done with time trials.  Late models, pure stocks, four cylinders and hobby stocks are included on the program along with a Kids Bike Race for the Kids Club. .

June 21st will be another five division regular program for Late Models, Late Model Sportsman, Pure Stocks, Hobby Stocks and Four Cylinders.

The month comes to a close on the 28th with a Late Model special, the Nininger Memorial which has $2,500 awaiting the winner. Late Models will also be competing TOPLESS in the Double Point event. In addition to the other regular divisions with the Four Cylinders competing in the Summer Championship Triangle Mania, the Classic Racing Series make their second appearance with FIREWORKS included sometime after darkness arrives.
