VARIOUS HAGERSTOWN EVENTS SET FOR JULY


HAGERSTOWN, MD. – Consider this the halfway mark for Hagerstown Speedway/Dirt Capitol as it’s July, summer has arrived and an additional four months of racing is still on the schedule. A variety of different race programs await fans during the month.  

Kicking off the month Wednesday evening July 2nd is night five of the nine night PA Sprint Car Speed Week. This is the overall 24th Annual edition for the open wheeled PA Sprint Racing Series as they make their way south of the Mason Dixon line. NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Dave Blaney is the defending winner. The EMMR (Eastern Museum of Motor Racing) will complement the program with a variety of restored vintage racers. The program gets underway at 7:30 p.m.   

Always an exciting program for the two wheeled enthusiasts, the AMA Pro Flat Track and Pro Harley Davidson Insurance Grand National Motorcycles arrive for the 33rd Annual Hub City Classic on Saturday July 5.Advance reserved seat and General Admission tickets are on sale. Starting time is 6:00 p.m. This program will also be held during Hagerstown Bike Week which is being held Thursday July 3rd to Saturday the 6th.  Check the website www.hagerstownbikeweek.com  for all activities. 

On Wednesday the 9th, the speedway will be available from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. for another Test and Tune session. Any cars from any Track may take advantage of this opportunity.

Another program that is a big draw for fans is Monster Jam Monster Truck Racing which takes over the speedway for three dates, Friday the 18th until Sunday the 20th.  Both Friday and Saturday programs begin at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday’s program starts at 2:00 p.m.  Reserved seat and General Admission Advance tickets are also on sale for this program. The final program for July is set for the 26th and under Dirt Capitol has been combined into the 33rd Annual Hays/ Jones Conococheague 88. This will feature both the Late Models and Late Model Sportsman.in double 44 lap events and also includes the Pure Stocks. Each division will receive double points.
