JULY PROMISES TO BE A BIG MONTH AT DIRT CAPITOL

HAGERSTOWN, MD – Heading into the first full month of summer, Hagerstown Speedway/Dirt Capitol continues with a July full of action.

The first program on July’s schedule is the 25th Annual Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek event set for Wednesday July 1. This is night five of the nine night schedule for the 410 Sprints. The EMMR (Eastern Museum of Motor Racing) Restored Racers will also be on hand. Starting time is 7:30 p.m.

Saturday July 4th will be the Firecracker 40 with 40 laps of Hoosier Tire Mid Atlantic Late Model action with the winner taking home $4,000. The Malloy Ford Late Model Sportsman, K-Lynn Management Pure Stocks and Mason Dixon Auto Auction Hobby Stocks are also on the program.

Dirt Capitol will host another Test & Tune session Wednesday, the 8th with any cars from any track welcome from 7 until 9 p.m. General Admission is free.

Saturday July 11th will feature the Topless Late Model Nininger Memorial which has been rescheduled from the rain out of June 27th. Besides the $2,500 to win, the Nininger Family have added $25 to lead a featured lap and $50 for heat winners along with a five to six foot trophy. The Late Model Sportsman, Pure Stocks and Hobby Stocks will all compete in Double Point Summer Championship events with the Penn Marr Vintage cars also on the schedule. 

Another program that is a big draw for fans is Monster Jam Monster Truck Racing which takes over the speedway for three dates, Friday the 17th until Sunday the 19th.  Both Friday and Saturday programs begin at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday’s program starts at 2:00 p.m.  Reserved seat and General Admission Advance tickets are also on sale for this program. The final July program is the 34th Annual Hays Conococheague 44-lap Late Model event with $4,400 to win along with Double Points. Late Model Sportsman, Pure Stocks, Hobby Stocks and the All American Outlaws are on the schedule. It is also Kids Poster Night. 

All July events have a standard starting time of 7:00 p.m. with warm-ups beginning at 6:30 p.m. except as noted.
