Drivers and Fans Prepare For an Unprecedented Triple-Header Event

Abbotstown, Pa. (August 21, 2015) –Sprint Car racer Kenny Jacobs, of Holmesville, OH, has been added to the list of Legends competing on Wednesday, August 26 when Fred Rahmer Promotions and Apple Chevrolet of York presentLegends of Central Pennsylvania Sprint Car Racing – a triple header event featuring the stars of yesteryear, a $10,000 winner-takes-all Shootout and the popular 358 Sprint Cars.  Legends of Central Pennsylvania Sprint Car Racing will take place at the Lincoln Speedway and be available for live streaming video on DirtStation.com.

While racing in Central Pennsylvania, Jacobs claimed a Williams Grove National Open title and a Pennsylvania State Championship win at Lincoln Speedway.  The four-time All Star Champion joins an impressive list of drivers including: Keith Kauffman, Lynn Paxton, Jeff Shepard, Kenny Adams, Steve Smith Sr., Billy Pauch, Todd Shaffer, Steve Siegel, Steve Stambaugh and Cris Eash.

Jacobs takes over the reins of the Weikert Livestock No. 29 that was originally to be piloted by Doug Wolfgang.  Unfortunately, Wolfgang was forced out of action while attending to some personal family matters

Legends drivers will compete with heat races and a 20 lap feature event in 410 Sprint Cars complete with graphics similar to their vintage predecessors.

Also on the docket, Danny Dietrich, Greg Hodnett, Lucas Wolfe, Brian Montieth, Dale Blaney and Alan Krimes compete in six 5-lap segments, with a points accumulation, in a $10,000 winner-takes-all Shootout.  These competitors were selected based on a fan vote on FredRahmerPromotions.com.

The format will see each competitor given the opportunity to start in each starting position 1 through 6.  They will compete in a 5-lap event where points will be given – 1st place will receive 12, 2nd will receive 9, 3rd will receive 7, 4thwill receive 5, 5th will receive 4 and 6th will receive 0.  In the event of a tie, the tied competitors will compete in a 3-lap sudden death round, where they draw for starting positions.

Also on the card is the popular 358 Sprint Cars competing in a 25-lap, $1,000 to win event.  This event is not a points race and open to all 358 Sprint Car competitors.  Rules are available at LincolnSpeedway.com.  Fred Rahmer Promotions is offering bonus money in each of the events qualifying heat races.  Heat race winners will receive $100, $75 will be payed to second place finishers and $50 for third.

The evening of nostalgia will feature interviews and anecdotes with yesterday’s star drivers, led by Motor Racing Network radio personality Steve Post.

The action takes place on Wednesday, August 26 (raindate: August 27).  General Admission Adult tickets are $20, Students 12-17 are $15, and Children 11 years old and under are FREE!  Pit Admission is $30.

Tickets are currently available for purchase at the Lincoln Speedway office or by calling 717-624-2755; major credit cards are accepted.  Fans that purchase advance tickets will be able to enter the speedway one hour earlier than those purchasing tickets the day of the event.  Fans can use this time to secure their seats and participate in a special autograph session with the Legend drivers.  Advance ticket holders arriving early will receive a special edition poster featuring all of the Legends, while supplies last.

For fans unable to attend the live event.  A live pay-per-view broadcast will be available on DirtStation.com.  The broadcast will feature vintage racing highlights, driver interviews and in-depth career retrospectives.
