Weather Forces Cancellation of the Party at the Path Season Finale
SPRING RUN, Pa. (October 18, 2015) – Precipitation throughout the day halted action on the Path Valley Speeedway this afternoon, as Fred Rahmer Promotions was forced to cancel the remainder of their 410 Sprint Car and 600cc Micro Sprint Party at the Path season finale.
Battling through a combination of intermittent rain, snow and sleet; the race teams and staff pushed through completing 410 Sprint Car time trials – where Dale Blaney posted a quick time of 10.768– and 600cc Micro Sprint heat races won by Jeffrey Weaver, Tyler Walton, Jason Swerely and Kyle Lick.
Heavy rain began to fall as the first 410 Sprint heat race was pushed onto the track, forcing officials to abandon the racing program and cancel the remainder of the show.
Attendees can use their wristbands and reserved parking passes as rainchecks for any of the Fred Rahmer Promotions events at the Path Valley Speedway in 2016 or can mail their wristbands to Fred Rahmer Promotions, 2131 North Ridge Road, Perkasie, Pa 18944 for a full refund.
With the cancellation, Tyler Walton of Mifflintown, Pa. picked up the 600cc Micro Sprint Series Championship. Walton, who won both of Rahmer’s events, earned himself a test session aboard one of RBR Racing’s 410 Sprint Cars. Bradley Weber of Thomasville, Pa. won a second session through a random drawing.
Fans are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled on FredRahmerPromotions.com and our social media outlets for information about the 2016 racing season.
