RISLONE URC SPRINT SERIES

1ST ANNUAL KRAMER CUP TO PAY $2,073 TO WIN SATURDAY NIGHT AUGUST 9 AT SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY, RISLONE NATIONALS AT WILLIAMS GROVE FRIDAY, AUGUST 22

In fond memory of Kramer Williamson, the Saturday night, August 9 360/358 Sprint event at the Selinsgrove Speedway will be titled the Kramer Cup.

Track Promoter Charlie Paige wishes to honor Kramer Williamson on this special event.   The nationally known sprint car star from Palmyra, PA lost his life in a sprint car crash last year at the Lincoln Speedway.   Williamson,  a former URC Champion  and winner of sixty-seven URC events was a big winner in Central Pennsylvania Sprint car racing throughout his career and was well  known for his talents from coast to coast.    In honor of Kramer’s car #73, the winner of the twenty-five lap feature at Selinsgrove will earn $2,073  and earn the pink Kramer Cup.

URC’s point leader Davie Franek is looking for his first Rislone URC Sprint Series Championship and to win the Kramer Cup would be just an added bonus.   Ed Aikin, Josh Weller,  Curt Michael, Randy West and Troy Betts are also gunning for the win in the Kramer Cup on Saturday night, August 9.

After an August 1 rain out, the Rislone Nationals will now take place on  Friday night, August  22  at the Williams Grove Speedway.

$4,000 will go to the race winner, and a  talented field of competitors are expected to fill the pit area to include “The Cobra” Chuck Hebing, one of New York’s top 360 sprint car drivers.  For Hebing, this will be his first stop at Williams Grove Speedway.

Prior Rislone National winners include Mark Smith (2013), Tony Stewart 2012, Lance Dewease (2011), Daryn Pittman (2010), Aaron Ott (2009), Kenny Adams (2008), Ed Aikin (2007) and Pat Cannon in 2006.

This very attractive payoff offers $4,000 to the winner, $1,000 for tenth and $325  just to start the 25 lap feature and this all takes place at one of the most historic race tracks in the country, the Williams Grove Speedway. Gates open a 5 PM with race time set for 7 PM.

Procedures for the event include a draw for the heats and a redraw for the feature. An event sheet that includes the complete payoff and car specifications is posted on the URC website under the competitors page (www.urcsprints.com) The 358 sprints are welcome to compete but must meet the weekly Williams Grove engine rule. Adjustable wings are allowed but no other cockpit adjustable devices.

For additional information, please visit our website at www.urcsprints.com  and go to the competitors page where you will find the complete payoff all rules and race procedures.

Saturday night, August 23, URC will now have the night off.   Originally scheduled to compete at the Port Royal Speedway, this event was removed from the Port Royal Speedway schedule to accommodate a change for the 410 sprints on this night.
