The Rislone URC Sprint Series will make its second and final visit of 2014 to the Delaware International Speedway on Saturday night, August 30.

With the recent rain cancellation of the Rislone Nationals set to take place last Friday night at the Williams Grove Speedway,  URC has adjusted the payoff for the coming event at the Delaware International Speedway.   The Saturday night stop at Delaware International will be the Barís Leaks URC Sprint Labor Day Weekend Championship paying $3,000 to win the 25 lap feature event.  An open draw will take place to determine the starting line-up for the heat race events and feature,  all leading up to the 25 lap Championship event.   Gates open at 5 PM with warm-ups getting underway at 7 PM.  Delaware International Speedway is located on Route 13 South in Delmar, DE.

Along with the Rislone URC Sprint cars will be the  NAPA Big Block Modifieds, Super Late Models, AC Delco PSC Modifieds, Crate Models and the Mod Lites.  All this racing will take place on R.C. Holloway Co Night and the well prepared Delaware International Speedway.

Davie ďNo PanicĒ Franek of Wontage, NJ is the Rislone URC Sprint Series point leader and he will certainly have his eye on the $3,000 first place prize.  The enhanced payoff will include $1,500 for second, $1,000 for third,  $800 for fourth and $700 for fifth.  Positions six through ten will pay  $650, $600, $550, $525,  $500.   The balance of the payoff is $400 for 11th, $375 for 12th, $350 for 13th, $334 for 14th and $325 for 15th.   Positions 16 -22 will pay $300 to take the green flag.

Eight time URC Champion Curt Michael of Ocean View, DE is excited about the increased payoff especially since Delaware International Speedway is his home track.   Michael as a career total of forty-eight URC victories, with two of those wins coming in 2014 and, both wins coming at the Grandview Speedway.      Joining Franek and Michael as expected entries on Saturday will be Randy West, Josh Weller, Ed Aikin, Troy Betts, Robbie Stillwaggon, Jimmy Stitzel, Jonathan Swanson and Scott Lutz.
