BERNHEISEL RACE COMPONENTS COMPLETES WINNING 2015 SEASON
Bernheisel Race Components has wrapped up another strong racing season as LazerX race cars were piloted to 64 A-Main wins by 36 different drivers at 32 different tracks in 12 states and Ontario. Five drivers also earned season track championships.
Track champions piloting Bernheisel Race Components Lazers were Justin Reed of Quincy, IL; Chuck Schutz of Pottstown, PA; Paul Nagle of Nevada, Iowa; Clinton Hersh of Somerset, PA; and Nick Loffredo of Avis, PA.
Justin Reed was the UMP Western Region point champion. Quoting Stevie Dirt of Whig, com in a story he did on August 16, “Reed is enjoying his finest overall season in an UMP car, and credits hooking up with Bernheisel Race Cars, Inc., in Jonestown, PA, which produces the Lazer Chassis. ‘(Our program) has had phenomenal support this year,’ said Reed. ‘I’m hungry. I want to win. I don’t do anything else…. don’t hunt, don’t fish and not any good at yard work… but I do want to race’ “
In business-like fashion, Chuck Schutz of Pottstown, PA, thwarted some of the strongest competition he has seen in his illustrious career and earned his 7th NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Late Model Championship at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA. On Thanksgiving Day, Chuck shared the following, “Thanks to BRC for the service and support of a well built race car, keeping me safe over the years, and helping me achieve many wins and championships!”
As a true late model rookie, Paul Nagle of Nevada, Iowa captured the IMCA Iowa State Point Championship, a win at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, two other top fives in IMCA track points and was the IMCA National Rookie of the Year was Paul Nagle. ”Our team was as new to late model racing as anyone could be,” shared Nagle. “The Lazers just work and respond to change like nothing I have ever driven. And Jim (Bernheisel) has great patience and (provided) Great support. After just a few short conversations with him, I left feeling confident in the car and being a top contender anywhere we unloaded. He also helps a team work with what they have as opposed to always trying to sell more parts. We are excited to be back with a Lazer for 2016.”
Clinton Hersh of Somerset, PA, was the RUSH Late Model champion at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA, in his ClearWater Construction 15 and Nick Loffredo was the champion at Racing for Heroes Raceway at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in Mackeyville, PA.
